It’s books like The Red Pyramid that make me wish I had kids right now to share them with. Rick Riordan’s books never disappoint. I love how educational the stories are while still remaining fun, funny, and entertaining. Riordan’s books are like chocolate flavored veggies, good for you but unexpectedly tasty at the same time. This is yet again another amazing audiobook. The Kane Chronicles has a monopoly of talent voicing Carter and Sadie Kane with Kevin R. Free and […]

I find life never goes the way you think it will no matter how hard you plan, so after school I was completely blindsided when I my boss laid me off from my first design job. The last thing I expected to come from the dismal economy was my role as caregiver. While most bloggers are mommies taking care of young children, I’m a granddaughter taking care of my elderly grandmother. […]
I picked up this book on a whim, and loved it. Whenever I’m in the mood for witches, I can’t seem to find anything good to read. Grave Witch was a nice mixture of more traditional witch craft and necromancy. Price complimented her unique world building with intricate well executed story lines. She also focuses more on the story than a big romance, though there is a pretty dynamic love triangle brewing, but after two books nothing much on that front has […]
With the wait for Bitterblue coming to an end and the closure of the series close at hand, I wanted to highlight the book that started it all. Graceling is still one of the best fantasies I have read to date. Kristin Cashore made quite an impression with a kick-ass heroine, romantic love story, interesting world, and an amazing concept. YA Fantasy doesn’t get much better than Graceling. Get a copy Graceling on Amazon here.
