I was going to continue my thoughts on Imaginary Boyfriends this week but saw this HBO featurette and had to share it. This video is about half as long as the one playing On Demand but I think it gets the point across. They should seriously consider renaming this to Abraham Lincoln: Lumberjack with those wicked ax wielding skills. I haven’t read this book yet, but really who wants to read some historical biography, when you can read a kick ass vampire […]
What makes a great book? I think it’s a combination of factors. Sure you need an enthralling plot, complex characters, a likable lead, but even with all that it’s difficult to pull off a great story without a solid love interest. Of course there are exceptions, not all books are romances, but we can’t deny the current trend of Teen Beat book beaus. These crafty constructs of literary deliciousness authors write so well that we fangirls and boys divide ourselves […]
All the little choices you make no matter how small insignificant or unknowing speaks to who you are. I think the choices you make in reading can say a lot about who you are. Have you ever thought about the choices you make when choosing that book on the shelve, or what it is about which literary boy toy team you root for that attracts you? Here’s some insight on me. One of the draws to reading for me is […]
From those exceptionally talented people who created VW’s The Force Superbowl commercial comes the sequel The Bark Side. I don’t know what crazy barking mad psycho genius came up with this concept, but I bow down to you. This pretty much embodies a few of my favorite things, dogs and science fiction, combined to create the most awesome recital every recorded. The only thing missing is my dog with a solo. Congratulations! you have a fangirl. This promo has nothing to […]
Soooo Sorry, I’ve had a few galley’s I have to finish and reviews to write so I haven’t had a chance to do any updates or new posts for Wednesday’s Watch or Book of the Week. I’ve also been working on a few more features to add to the site. I have the subjects picked out but I haven’t made any of the graphics. It’s times like these I wished I had a partner in crime to share the load […]
This has been a pretty demanding undertaking. Please bare with me as I continue to transfer all my reviews to the site. I am at best about 25% of the way done. But I am trying hard to juggle writing & reading new reviews and books, along with posting any and all previous content. I promise this will all flow much better once I get everything together and all the supporting pages up.
I am unfortunately running behind schedule due to power outages in my area caused by Irene. Thankfully after four days the electrical difficulties have been resolved. I have a couple of reviews to write and a logo to make for the blog. I hope to have everything here at Unwasted Words set up in a week or two.
